Pravin Patel Profiled as 2020 “On the Rise” Honoree by Daily Business Review

Weil Complex Commercial Litigation counsel Pravin Patel has been profiled as an “On the Rise” honoree by Daily Business Review for 2020. He is one of only 25 attorneys to be honored with this award, which recognizes South Florida attorneys under the age of 40 for their expertise, accomplishments and commitment to community service.

The Q&A profile highlighted Mr. Patel’s path to the law and the skills, mentors and mindset that have helped make him a standout litigator. He stressed the sense of service that inspired him early on and continues to drive his legal practice.

“While many different professions provide a platform to assist those in need, the legal profession stood out to me as a unique opportunity,” Mr. Patel said. “Today, I’m proud to be part of a firm that allows me serve my corporate clients and work to effect long-term change through meaningful pro bono representations that will impact that lives of many for years to come.”

Daily Business Review also discussed the way Mr. Patel finds personal and professional fulfillment at Weil, balancing an absorbing career with a life filled with family, work for his mandir and leadership in the community.

Mr. Patel has significant experience across a broad range of disputes, including product liability, business torts, breach of contract, fraud, bankruptcy, healthcare and environmental cases, and has been intimately involved in the defense of numerous nationwide and multi-state putative class actions. He is actively involved in the Firm’s pro bono initiatives, achieving nationally recognized results in these engagements, and in the local community, including dedicating his time as Director of Children and Youth Activities for B.A.P.S. Mr. Patel is a Co-Chair of the Discovery Strategies subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s Mass Torts Committee and also is a member of the Florida Bar and the Dade County Bar Association.
