Weil Mergers & Acquisitions partner Matthew Gilroy was named among the winners of the 2013 40 Under 40 M&A Advisor Recognition Awards. The awards, announced on July 24, 2013, recognize attorneys under the age of 40 for their accomplishments in the mergers and acquisitions, financing, and turnaround fields, and aim to promote mentorship and professional development among emerging business leaders.
Mr. Gilroy is a member of the Firm’s top-ranked M&A practice and has, within the last year, advised Medicis in its $2.6 billion sale to Valeant; Leucadia in its strategic combination with Jefferies Group; and American Realty Capital Trust IV in its $3.1 billion sale to American Realty Capital Properties, among other significant deals. His regular clients include Eli Lilly & Company, American International Group, Inc., Leucadia National Corporation, Cedar Fair, L.P., Cardinal Health, Inc., Davita, Inc., Global Tower Partners, Hollinger, Inc., Macquarie, Providence Equity Partners, Citigroup, and Irving Place Capital. He is based in the Firm’s New York office.
