Weil’s Business Finance & Restructuring co-chair Marcia Goldstein has been named among Crain’s New York Business’ “50 Most Powerful Women in New York.” The biannual list includes women leaders at the top of their fields covering various aspects of business from the arts to banking to healthcare to technology. Ms. Goldstein is one of only three law firm leaders included on the 2015 list.
The accompanying profile on Ms. Goldstein highlights her current representation of an insurer who holds $4.5 billion in bonds issued by the debt-laden commonwealth of Puerto Rico and certain of its public authorities. Crain’s also notes her leadership of the Business Finance & Restructuring department and her role in major cases such as the Lehman Brothers and General Motors bankruptcies.
This ranking marks Ms. Goldstein’s fourth appearance on the Crain’s list; she also appeared in the 2013, 2011 and 2009 rankings.
