Kelly DiBlasi has been profiled in the New York Law Journal as a Rising Star for 2018, an award given to 29 of the region’s most promising lawyers under 40.
The publication originally named Ms. DiBlasi among the Rising Stars in June, and has now published the profile in recognition of the honor. The article noted Ms. DiBlasi’s accomplishments as a partner in one of the industry’s top restructuring practices, as well as her leadership in the legal community and commitment to pro bono service.
The New York Law Journal highlighted her recent successes guiding the multijurisdictional, multibillion-dollar chapter 11 reorganization of global helicopter company CHC Group, representing Ambac in the state court rehabilitation of its Segregated Account portfolio, and advising National Public Finance Guarantee Corporation in Puerto Rico’s landmark municipal restructuring.
The award not only recognizes Ms. DiBlasi’s restructuring expertise but also her pro bono efforts. She is deeply committed to first responders and has served since 2004 as pro bono General Counsel for the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.
