Business Finance & Restructuring counsel Kelly DiBlasi has been named an “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer” by Turnarounds & Workouts for 2016. The select list, which features 12 lawyers throughout the United States, recognizes the attorneys under age 40 who have worked on the industry’s prominent bankruptcies and restructurings.
Ms. DiBlasi was recognized for advising numerous high-profile restructurings, including global helicopter services company CHC and steel giant Essar Steel. Turnarounds & Workouts also highlighted her representation of creditors in major chapter 11 cases, such as debtholders of Magnum Hunter Resources and the Export-Import Bank of China as the largest secured creditor in the reorganization of Northshore Mainland Services Inc., commonly referred to as “Baha Mar.” Ms. DiBlasi was also noted for advising the Financial Guaranty Insurance Company in the City of Detroit’s landmark chapter 9 proceeding.
