In the fourth annual Litigation Trailblazer special supplement to NLJ, published last week, Weil Securities Litigation practice Co-Head John Neuwirth was named among 25 elite litigators nationally who have “helped make a difference in the fight for justice” while achieving “remarkable successes along the way.”
In its profile of Mr. Neuwirth, the NLJ noted his successful representation of Sanofi in a securities fraud class action before the Second Circuit that resulted in the first decision by a federal appellate court to interpret the U.S. Supreme Court’s important Omnicare ruling. It also highlighted his trial victory for Lender Processing Services in an appraisal action regarding the Company’s $4 billion acquisition by Fidelity National Financial, which resulted in a pathbreaking decision by the Delaware Chancery Court.
Mr. Neuwirth is the tenth Weil partner since late 2015 to be named an NLJ Trailblazer in his or her respective field of expertise, and the third Weil partner to earn this distinction for Litigation, joining Co-Head of the Firm’s IP/Media practice, R. Bruce Rich (2015), and Co-Chair of Weil’s Litigation Department, Jonathan Polkes (2016).
