Weil partners Ellen Odoner, Stephen Radin and Lyuba Goltser, and associate Andrew Blumberg were named as recipients of the 2018 Law360 Distinguished Writing Award, a part of The Burton Awards for Legal Achievement, which will be presented at a ceremony in the Great Hall of the Library of Congress. Their article, “Fiduciary Duties of Corporate Directors in Uncertain Times,” was selected as one of the nation’s 31 best law firm articles published in the past year. The article was published in August 2017, and commissioned by Columbia Law School’s Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at the request of participants in the Center’s General Counsel Corporate Governance Summit and as a part of the Center’s ongoing efforts to advance board excellence. Ms. Odoner heads Weil’s Public Company Advisory Group of which Ms. Goltser is a member, and Mr. Radin and Mr. Blumberg are members of Weil’s Securities Litigation practice. This is Mr. Radin’s third Burton Award.

The Burton Awards, established in 1999, is funded by the Burton Foundation, a non-profit, academic effort devoted to recognizing and rewarding excellence in the legal profession. The 31 winners of the Law360 Distinguished Writing Awards were chosen from the nominations submitted by the nation’s top 1,000 most prestigious and largest law firms.
