Partner Diane Sullivan has been selected by The National Law Journal as a “2019 Winning Litigator,” an honor extended to 26 litigators nationwide.
Ms. Sullivan was highlighted for the complete defense jury verdict she secured for Johnson & Johnson in the mass tort talc litigation. Following four weeks of trial in New Jersey state court, the jury returned a unanimous, 7-0 verdict after deliberating for less than 30 minutes.
The profile, published as part of a special report, also notes Ms. Sullivan’s trial tips that she cites as key to her success: “Be authentic and use homespun analogies and graphics to communicate themes and important points to the jury. The truth should not take that long to tell: embrace simplicity and brevity in numbers of witnesses and exams.”
The National Law Journal’s Winning Litigators special report honors trial lawyers for their victories in high-stakes matters.
