Weil won two awards at the Chambers Diversity & Inclusion Awards on June 6. The awards aim to “celebrate those firms and individuals who are furthering the advancement of diversity and inclusion in the US,” and were presented at an event in San Francisco.
Executive Partner Barry Wolf received the Outstanding Ally award—one of the top recognitions of the evening. Mr. Wolf was honored for his dedication to myriad efforts to increase diversity and inclusion at Weil, such as through the Firm’s ally-initiative Upstander@Weil, as well as for his own involvement in multiple mentoring circles and promotion of innovative diversity trainings.
In addition, Weil won Most Inclusive Firm for LGBT+ Lawyers, recognizing the vast and deep recruitment efforts the Firm has undertaken, as well as the significant pro bono work Weil has done to advance LGBTQ+ rights and freedoms.
