Tim Saulsbury is an associate in the Patent Litigation practice in Weil’s Silicon Valley office.

Mr. Saulsbury has worked on trial court and appellate matters involving a wide range of technologies, including telecommunications, semiconductor memory, DNA profiling, fetal diagnostic techniques, and video games.

In addition to his work on patent litigation matters, Mr. Saulsbury has assisted in revising local patent rules and served as a teaching assistant for a patent litigation class at Stanford Law School. He is also involved in a number of professional organizations, and his service includes drafting an amicus curiae brief on behalf of an intellectual property law association in proceedings before the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Saulsbury’s pro bono commitments include assisting the Center for Constitutional Rights in a prisoners’ rights class action pending in the Northern District of California.

Before joining Weil, Mr. Saulsbury served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kathleen M. O’Malley, both at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and previously at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Mr. Saulsbury received his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he was co-editor in chief of the Stanford Technology Law Review, and his B.A., with distinction, from the University of Virginia.
