Tamás Simon is a senior associate with more than 14 years of experience specializing in project finance and infrastructure matters, banking & finance, bankruptcy & restructuring, and general corporate law.
Mr. Simon regularly represents Hungarian and international companies on complex transactions, advising on credit facilities, work outs, restructurings, and project financing matters.
Prior to joining Weil’s Budapest office in 2001, Mr. Simon practiced for four years in London, first at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and later in the project finance department of a major international law firm. At EBRD, Mr. Simon worked on legal aspects of the financing of diverse public and private projects in Central and Eastern Europe countries and in the former Soviet Union. His projects included port developments and road projects undertaken as public-private partnerships. He also advised banks and developers in connection with power-plant projects. Mr. Simon has specific experience in construction contracts related to real estate and infrastructure projects.
Mr. Simon is fluent in English and Serbo-Croatian, in addition to his native Hungarian.
