Steven M. Peck is a partner in the firm's Corporate department. He specializes in private equity and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Peck regularly represents several of the country's leading private equity firms in acquiring and selling public and private companies. He has also represented numerous public companies in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, going private transactions, tender offers, self tender offers, public offerings, proxy statement disclosures and general periodic reports.
Representative transactions include representation of General Motors Company in its acquisition of Delphi pursuant to Delphi's bankruptcy plan of reorganization; representation of Thomas H. Lee Partners and Goldman Sachs in their control acquisition of MoneyGram International; Thomas H. Lee and Fidelity National Financial in their acquisition of Ceridian Corporation; representation of Thomas H. Lee Partners in HSBC’s acquisition of Metris Companies, Inc.; representation of Berkshire Partners in its acquisition of National Vision, Inc. by way of public tender offer; representation of Summit Partners in numerous investments and acquisitions including Central Security Group, Inc., Focus Financial LLC, Innov-X Systems, Inc., Anesthetix Holdings, LLC, Logisticare Solutions, Fortegra Financial Corp. and Fleetcor Technologies Inc.; representation of PolyMedica Corporation in its sale to Medco Health Solutions, Inc.; representation of Brookfield Asset Management in its acquisition of Longview Fibre Company, as well as numerous power asset acquisitions; representation of N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc., in its sales to Berkshire Partners; representation of Encoda Systems in its sale to Harris Corporation; representation of Switchboard Incorporated's sale to InfoSpace, Inc.; representation of Brookstone management members in the acquisition of Brookstone Corporation by a group including J.W. Childs & Associates; and representation of the management team of Texas Instruments' Sensors and Controls Division in the acquisition of that business by Bain Capital.
Mr. Peck has spoken as a guest lecturer on corporate and private equity law at Harvard Business School and MIT's Sloan School of Management. He was recognized in Chambers USA - America's Leading Lawyers for Business 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 in the field of private equity.
Mr. Peck graduated from Duke University, cum laude, and from Boston University Law School, cum laude.
