Sara Coelho is an associate in Weil’s Business Finance & Restructuring Department, where her practice focuses on restructuring and debtor-creditor rights, both in an out of court.
Ms. Coelho has represented debtors in chapter 11, including LandSource, Aleris, Extended Stay Hotels, Lehman Brothers, and AMR Corporation, as well as secured creditors, equity holders, contract counterparties, and purchasers of assets from distressed companies.
Ms. Coelho is a regular contributor to the Weil Bankruptcy Blog and practices pro bono in the areas of asylum, housing, and bankruptcy.
Ms. Coelho received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 and a JD from Cornell University in 2006 where she was a symposium editor of the Cornell Law Review.
