Ronald F. Daitz

Mr. Daitz is currently a senior counsel, having been a partner of the firm for 35 years, with extensive transaction experience that encompasses financings, restructurings, capital markets transactions and mergers & acquisitions, including M&A transactions involving companies in the banking and financial services industries.

Mr. Daitz has acted for both lenders and borrowers in cross-border financings, restructurings, financings for acquisitions by private equity funds and strategic buyers, asset based financings and registered, 144A and private offerings of debt and equity. His experience also includes company-side representations in large multinational restructurings, such as Enron, WorldCom, Parmalat and Eurotunnel.

Mr. Daitz is a past chair of the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, a section with more than 4,000 members, and was a member of the Executive Committee of that section. He is also a member of its Committee on Securities Regulation and is a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Committee on Federal Securities Regulations of its Business Law Section. He is also a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and a member of that Association's Corporation Law Committee. Mr. Daitz is a member of TriBar, a committee of representatives of a broad range of bar associations, that focuses on third party legal opinions.

Mr. Daitz has been recognized as a leading banking lawyer in such publications as Euromoney's Best of the Best and Guide to Leading Banking Lawyers, Law Business Research's Who's Who Legal and as a leading M&A lawyer in Legal Media Group's Expert Guides.

Mr. Daitz has represented Public Art Fund, Inc., including in connection with the recent New York City Waterfalls project conceived by the artist Olafur Eliasson, and presented in partnership with the City of New York. He has also advised The Royal Shakespeare Company and Artists Space and currently advises HIAS, Inc. on a regular basis and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Mead Art Museum of Amherst College.

Mr. Daitz is a cum laude graduate of Amherst College and holds an LLB from Harvard Law School.
