Robert Velevis concentrates his practice in the area of complex civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Mr. Velevis has experience in multi-jurisdictional disputes, including class actions and multi-district litigation, complex financial services litigation, including litigation involving derivatives contracts, mergers and acquisition litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. During his career, Mr. Velevis has been involved in representing American Airlines, Lehman Brothers, Texas Rangers Baseball Partners, MasterCard International, and HealthMarkets, Inc.
Mr. Velevis serves as a member of the regional board of the Anti-Defamation League and regularly handles pro bono matters, including a significant class action against the State of Texas concerning the treatment and institutionalization of people with disabilities.
Mr. Velevis was recognized as a “Rising Star” for Business Litigation in Texas Super Lawyers/Texas Monthly from 2009-2013.
