Rachel S. Vigneaux is an associate in the Technology & IP Transactions practice group in the New York office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
Ms. Vigneaux represents clients in a variety of industries in matters relating to the licensing, acquisition, development, sale, use, and commercial exploitation of intellectual property. She has experience in private equity, M&A, financing and other corporate transactions as well as in stand-alone intellectual property transactions, including licensing arrangements, intellectual property acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, and technology transfers.
Ms. Vigneaux has provided pro bono legal services on behalf of numerous clients, including the Central Park Conservancy, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, and the Museum of Jewish Heritage. She has received several awards in recognition of her pro bono work, including the New York State Bar Association Empire State Counsel Award, and the Weil Pro Bono Service Award. For several months each year, Ms. Vigneaux devotes one afternoon a week to coaching a high school mock trial team from Edward R. Murrow High School in Brooklyn, NY to prepare them to compete in the Justice Resource Center’s Annual Mock Trial Competition.
Ms. Vigneaux joined Weil as a summer associate in 2008. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and received a Certificate of Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn Law, Ms. Vigneaux served as President of the Counsel of Student Representatives and as Alumni & Public Relations Editor of the Journal of International Law. Additionally, she received the Outstanding Service Award for Public Service and Pro Bono Activities. Ms. Vigneaux graduated from Cornell University in 2006 with a B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management, concentrating in consumer welfare.
