Peter Feist is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department and leads the firm's private equity transactional practice in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Feist has a diverse practice that includes advising clients on a wide array of cross border and multi-jurisdictional private equity and M&A transactions in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Feist has extensive experience in private and public acquisitions, leveraged and management buyouts, going private transactions, recapitalizations, financings, minority investments and divestitures. Mr. Feist also advises clients on general corporate matters, including matters regarding securities laws and corporate governance.
Weil’s Asia-Pacific private equity team was recognized by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) as its Private Equity Team of the Year at both the 2011 and 2012 IFLR Asia Awards, on the strength of multiple private equity engagements, representing some of the world’s and Asia’s leading private equity firms in their transactions in Asia.
Mr. Feist has been recognized as a leading private equity lawyer by Chambers, Legal 500, and IFLR. Mr. Feist received his law degree, with first class honors, from Victoria University of Wellington, where he also received a business degree in accounting and finance.
