Thomas Umberg participates in the representation of financial and strategic clients in various acquisition transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and cross-border matters.
Mr. Umberg has provided pro bono legal assistance to individuals seeking visas and permanent resident status in connection with the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Program and to low income business owners within the community through the Legal Services for Entrepreneurs program.
Mr. Umberg graduated with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he was a managing editor of the Berkeley Journal for Entertainment and Sports Law. Prior to joining Weil, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Justice David A. Thompson of the California Court of Appeal.
