Ronald F. Daitz
Ronald F. Daitz retired from the Firm in 2010. He was a senior partner in Weil’s New York office, created and was the first head of the Firm’s Banking & Finance practice, and was a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. 

During his 42 years at Weil, Ronald had an extensive transactional practice that encompassed financings, restructurings, capital markets transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. He advised companies in the banking and financial services industries, as well as many industrial companies, on M&A transactions and acted for borrowers and lenders in cross-border financings, restructurings, financings for acquisitions by private equity funds and strategic buyers, asset-based financing, 144A financings, and public and private offerings of debt and equity. He worked in the Firm’s London office from 2000 to 2005.

 

Ronald was recognized as a leading banking lawyer in such publications as Euromoney’s The Best of the Best and Guide to Leading Banking Lawyers, Law Business Research’s Who’s Who Legal, and as a leading M&A lawyer in Legal Media Group’s Expert Guides.

He is a past chair and former member of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, a section with more than 4,000 members. He was also a member of the TriBar Opinion Committee and the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers.

For many years, Ronald was responsible for assembling the Firm’s noteworthy art collection and, among other pro bono projects, advised the Public Art Fund on a number of its major projects and acted for HIAS.
