Mr. Szabó has significant cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures experience including acting for both private and public vendors, private purchasers and private equity firms across a range of industry sectors, such as financial institutions, energy, telecommunications and media, chemistry, life sciences, technology and food. He has also advised on competitive auction bid processes.
Mr. Szabó also has company reorganization and restructuring experience and his practice covers all types of corporate and commercial transactions.
He regularly advises clients on general employment matters and other specialized areas including collective redundancies, benefits and incentive programs, share incentive schemes as well as both domestic and cross-border labor law related transactions such as company reorganizations and outsourcing. He has also advised on various arrangements with executives and their compensation packages.
He joined Weil’s Budapest office in October 2013. Prior to that, Mr. Szabó worked as part of the M&A, corporate and employment teams of another international law firm where he also spent nine months in the M&A and private equity teams of that firm’s London office.
Mr. Szabó is fluent in English in addition to his native Hungarian.
