Morton L. Susman

Morton L. Susman retired from the partnership in 1997. He was a senior partner in the Houston office and formerly the head of the Litigation group.
Mr. Susman's practice focused on trying business, commercial, and taxation disputes (civil and criminal) in federal and state courts.

Mr. Susman is a former United States Attorney for the Southern District of Texas, having served under President Lyndon Johnson. In that position, he was active in many civil and criminal trials involving nationally known companies and individuals. Mr. Susman contributed to various sections of a Department of Justice Manual for Criminal Tax Trials. He was formerly a permanent member of the Fifth Circuit Judicial Conference. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy for three years of active duty and is now retired from the U.S. Naval Service.

Mr. Susman was listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in American Law, and Who's Who in the World.
