He graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in 2005. He also completed at that university a course in German law organised in cooperation with Heidelberg University and Mainz University, a course in Austrian law organised in cooperation with the University of Vienna, and a course in US law organised in cooperation with The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. In 2009 Michał obtained an LL.M. degree (with a specialisation in international finance) from Harvard Law School. He also studied law at Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg. He was admitted to the Bar Association of the State of New York in 2010 and qualified as a Polish legal advisor in 2012.
Prior to joining Weil in July 2015, he worked for a leading Polish law firm, where he advised financial institutions on regulatory issues and project finance, as well as domestic and international companies on corporate matters, restructuring, M&A and private equity transactions.
Michal was singled out as one of the rising stars of the legal profession in a ranking published in 2014 by leading Polish daily newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
Michal is fluent in English and German.
