Mr. Zlatarov advises on competition aspects of M&A transactions, guiding clients through the merger process from pre-notification to obtaining clearance. He also represents clients in cartel investigations both before the Hungarian competition authority and courts, as well as in antitrust litigation before courts and arbitral tribunals. Mr. Zlatarov regularly counsels clients on vertical and horizontal agreements, pricing issues and antitrust compliance.
Prior to joining Weil’s Budapest office, Mr. Zlatarov was member of the Competition Council, the decision-making body of the Hungarian Competition Office (GVH), where he had the opportunity to shape some of the authority's landmark decisions and major policy papers. Preceding his appointment to the Council, Mr. Zlatarov was practicing EU competition law at the Brussels office of an international law firm, and also practiced in Budapest.
Mr. Zlatarov is fluent in English in addition to his native Hungarian.
