Jerzy Bombczynski is an advocate admitted to practice in Poland and an associate in the corporate department of the Warsaw office of Weil.
He graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2012, also studying law at Stockholm University between 2011 and 2012. He was awarded the Minister of Science and Higher Education’s distinction for his magister thesis on intellectual property law in a competition organised by the Polish Patent Office and has completed specialised courses in IP law co-organised by World Intellectual Property Organization and the University of Geneva (in Geneva), and by the U.S. Copyright Office and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (in Washington, D.C.). Jerzy completed the LMA Certificate Course organised by the Loan Market Association and holds an Alternative Trading System Adviser Certificate (Catalyst, NewConnect) issued by the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He joined Weil in 2012 and qualified as advocate and was admitted to practice in 2016.
A specialist in banking and finance law, Jerzy has been involved in a number of cross-border finance transactions and restructuring projects. He has advised on international offerings of debt securities, as well as numerous offerings of domestic corporate bonds and their subsequent introduction to trading on the Catalyst market.
He is a member of the Warsaw office’s pro bono committee.
