Jared Rusman is a partner in Weil’s Tax Department and is based in the Firm’s Dallas office. Mr. Rusman is nationally recognized in federal income tax matters. His practice is devoted to all aspects of corporate and partnership tax matters, with a particular emphasis on the tax aspects of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, divestitures, and spin-offs and split-offs for public and private companies. He joined the Firm in August 2007.
Mr. Rusman was recently named a 2015 Tax MVP by Law360. He has also been recognized as a leading Tax lawyer in Texas by Chambers USA since 2005, where clients note his “outstanding tax intellect, and ability to digest and analyze complex issues,” adding, “[he] can provide practical advice in a manner that is understandable to…company management.” Additionally, he is ranked in Best Lawyers in America in Dallas and recommended by Legal 500 US and Super Lawyers.
Mr. Rusman is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where he served as a member of the Editorial Staff and as a Note and Comment Editor on the New York University Law Review and was named to the Order of the Coif, and of Georgetown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and graduated summa cum laude.
