He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow in 2007, received an LL.M. in American and International Business and Commercial Law from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, in Washington D.C., in 2007 and qualified as a legal advisor in 2012. During his studies, Jacek received a scholarship to study at the National University of Kyiv – Mohyla Academy and a scholarship to study at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Brussels. Prior to joining Weil in 2010, he worked for several years in the tax advisory department of an international consulting company, where he provided services to clients from the financial industry and worked on M&A transactions.
A specialist in private equity and M&A, TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications), and real estate, Jacek has advised clients (including public companies) on M&A transactions, including share and asset deals, at every stage of the transaction, including structuring, due diligence, negotiation of all documents, and supervising the work of legal teams located in various jurisdictions. He has also advised on restructuring of business operations, including mergers, spin-offs and transformations, and debt restructuring. He represented clients in issuances of debt securities and provided legal advice on issues involving trading in financial instruments and issuer disclosure obligations.
