Mr. Mátrai’s major clients include property developers and investors, public procurement and private equity firms. He has previously advised numerous international companies on high-profile transactions across the CEE region. He has in-depth experience in real estate and corporate transactions. He has been lead counsel on a number of PPP projects and several built-to-suit lease and other developments in Hungary.
Mr. Mátrai has participated in numerous high-profile real property development projects such as, among others, commercial office building developments, shopping mall developments and PPP projects, including some of the largest of such transactions ever to have taken place in Hungary. Recently, Mr. Mátrai has been involved in a number of significant construction projects, including the new football stadium in Ferencváros and the new university campus for the National University of Public Service.
Mr. Mátrai has also participated in a number of complex private equity transactions involving major foreign investors and domestic companies within the framework of the so-called Jeremie program of the EU. Mr. Mátrai has been involved in numerous corporate and mergers & acquisitions matters including privatizations as well. His experience in this field covers a variety of business sectors, including the TMT sector, telecommunications, energy and real estate.
