David P. Stone

David P. Stone retired from the partnership in 2005. He was a senior partner in the New York office and a member of the Firm’s Corporate practice group.
During his 35 years of practice, David specialized in corporate, securities, and mergers and acquisitions law. He counseled issuers, underwriters, and selling stockholders in public offerings of equity, debt, and derivative securities in the U.S. and abroad. He also advised acquirors, acquired companies, and investment bankers in numerous mergers, acquisitions, and takeovers.
 

David represented non-U.S. corporations, government agencies, and commercial and investment bankers in securities transactions, SEC reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and other commercial activities in the U.S. He counseled American enterprises in investment and trade activities and advised clients throughout the world on debt restructurings and reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions involving companies subject to bankruptcy and similar proceedings.
