Cheri Bessellieu is an associate in Weil’s Technology & IP Transactions practice and a member of the Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and Information Management group.
Ms. Bessellieu advises clients across a range of industries in matters concerning data privacy, cybersecurity, and the licensing, acquisition, development, sale, use, and commercial exploitation of intellectual property. Ms. Bessellieu was previously a member of the Firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation practice and has experience litigating matters and counseling clients regarding complex contractual disputes, copyright, trademark and music licensing.
In 2015, Ms. Bessellieu was seconded to Panasonic Corporation in Osaka, Japan as a member of Panasonic’s Licensing Department. She is recognized as a 2016 “Rising Star” for Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers.
Ms. Bessellieu joined Weil as a summer associate in 2007. She graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2008, where she served on the Fordham Law Review. Ms. Bessellieu graduated with a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005.
