Carly Clarke is a corporate associate in the London office of Weil, Gotshal and Manges and advises on a wide range of domestic and cross-border M&A and private equity transactions.

Representative transactions include advising:

  • General Electric Company on its restructuring and subsequent $11.6 billion disposal of GE Plastics
  • Apax Partners on its €350 million sale of its investment in Global Refund, the travel related financial services company
  • CBS Corporation on its $280 million acquisition of Last.FM, the UK on-line radio networking site
  • HIT Entertainment Limited, a portfolio company of Apax Partners, on its disposals of Guinness World Records and Sooty
  • management on its investment in the $1.1 billion secondary buy-out of GET, a Norwegian cable and telephony company
  • Universal Music Group on the €1.63 billion purchase of the BMG Music publishing business
