Alexandre Vermynck is a litigation associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges Paris office. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, arbitration and criminal defense – including white collar defense.
Mr. Vermynck joined the firm in 2009. He received a Master of Laws from Paris X University in 2007, and graduated from Sciences-Po Paris in 2009.
Member of the Paris Bar since 2009, Alexandre Vermynck was elected First Secretary of the Conférence des avocats du barreau de Paris in 2013. In this position, Mr. Vermynck was entrusted during one year with the most complex criminal cases in which the accused could not afford a lawyer.
Along with his co-Secretaries and with the support of the Paris Bar, Mr. Vermynck leads a mediatized fight before French Courts to obtain that lawyers may access to the file of their clients kept under police custody.
In 2014, Alexandre was listed amongst “France Great Lawyers” by the French website www.grands-avocats.com.
Alexandre Vermynck teaches public speaking and pleading techniques at l’Ecole de Formation du Barreau (EFB) in Paris.
