Alan B. Miller

Alan B. Miller retired from the partnership at the end of 2005. He was a senior partner in the New York office and the co-founder of the Firm’s Business Finance & Restructuring practice.
Mr. Miller concentrated on business reorganizations for more than 30 years, including chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court debt restructurings, secured financings, M&A transactions, and investments in troubled companies.

He has been a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Committees on Bankruptcy and Reorganization, the Federal Bar Council, and New York County Lawyers Association.

Mr. Miller authored articles and book chapters for the Practising Law Institute, Harcourt, Brace and Jovanovich, Wiley Law Publications, Euromoney Publications, the New York Law Journal, The National Law Journal, ALI-BNA, and other periodicals. He has also authored articles for the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the New York County Lawyers Association, and participated as a lecturer for those and other organizations. He served as a guest lecturer at New York University Law School on bankruptcy reorganizations and creditors’ rights.
