Pawel Rymarz is a legal advisor admitted to practice in Poland and has been the managing partner of the Warsaw office of Weil since 1998.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 1985, qualified as a legal advisor in 1992 and joined Weil in 1993. Pawel has become widely recognised as an outstanding specialist in corporate law and in M&A and capital markets transactions. He has advised on the largest acquisitions and privatisations in Poland, on numerous domestic and international public offerings of securities and private equity transactions, and on the restructuring of many leading Polish capital groups.
The prestigious legal ranking publication Chambers & Partners has repeatedly ranked Pawel as one of the world’s finest corporate/M&A and capital markets specialists. According to a recent report, “Partner Pawel Rymarz wins praise as ‘one of the best for public market transactions.’ He has considerable experience with privatisations and share purchases and is ‘always involved in the biggest-ticket work,’ sources say.”
Several recent editions of another legal ranking, Expert Guides, have singled Pawel out as an expert in corporate law and M&A transactions. The international legal ranking publications, The Legal 500 and IFLR 1000, have repeatedly ranked him as recommended for M&A. In a recent edition of PLC Which Lawyer? he was again named as a recommended lawyer for M&A and for media and telecommunications. He has repeatedly been ranked in surveys carried out by the Rzeczpospolita daily as one of Poland’s leading lawyers for M&A and capital markets, and in the 2011 survey he was recommended in the top tier for M&A, privatisation and restructuring. He was again named by his peers and leading Polish companies as Poland’s best M&A lawyer in the 2011 survey carried out by Forbes Polska.
Pawel is an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce.
He is fluent in English and conversant in Russian.
