Global law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP received high marks in a wide range of practice areas from
Chambers Global in its 2012 ranking of law firms and attorneys across the world, which was published today.
Chambers Global, a Chambers and Partners publication, researches the legal markets of over 180 countries to identify the leading lawyers and law firms worldwide through interviews with thousands of lawyers and their clients.
A total of 78 partners from across the firm’s global offices and practice areas were ranked as “leading” lawyers, 14 of whom received Tier 1 rankings in their practice areas. For the third year in a row, Harvey R. Miller was ranked as a “star individual” for Bankruptcy/Restructuring in the US.
Several Weil practice areas were ranked as top, Tier 1, practices in their geographic markets, including: Banking & Finance (Hungary); Capital Markets (Poland); Corporate/M&A (Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland); Corporate/M&A: Private Equity (Asia-Pacific); Dispute Resolution (Czech Republic); Intellectual Property: Patent (US); Investment Funds: Private Equity: Fund Formation (US); and Restructuring/Insolvency and Bankruptcy (France, Hungary, Poland, and the US).
