Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP has joined nearly 40 law firms to create the Law Firm Sustainability Network, a group dedicated to developing and promoting sustainable office practices in the legal industry. Network members participate in monthly conference calls to share ideas about best practices and discuss sustainable projects on a case study basis. The group, which was organized by ecoAnalyze, a New York environmental consulting firm, was highlighted in an
article in yesterday's New York Law Journal.
Lauren Hoelzer, an associate and member of the Securities Litigation practice, represents Weil in the network. She chairs Weil's Green Committee, which is charged with identifying ways the firm can operate in a more environmentally friendly, sustainable, and responsible way.
