According to
The New York Times: "Michael Aiello is on fire."
The article is entitled "Michael Aiello: The M.&A. Lawyer Who Doesn’t Sleep," and discusses a recent slew of public company deals representing an aggregate of more than $4 billion. All three were led by Michael Aiello, a partner in the New York office of Weil, Gotshal and Manges, and all while he was recovering from surgery.
"The young partner is nothing if not tough," the piece praises, suggesting that his experience working for New York City's Emergency Medical Service in the 80’s was good preparation for "the legal world that never seems to take a break."
Within a week, Aiello led the teams advising French pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis SA in its agreement to purchase US healthcare company Chattem Inc. for approximately $1.9 billion, Cedar Fair in its $2.4 billion acquisition by Apollo Global Management, and Abbott Laboratories in its $123 million cross-border acquisition of STARLIMS Technologies Ltd.
Aiello says "it’s always good to be busy."
