NEW YORK, April 30, 2009 – Partner Glenn D. West and associate Sara G. Duran of Weil Gotshal’s Dallas office have been selected as 2009 Burton Award Winners in the Legal Writing category for their article “Reassessing the “Consequences” of Consequential Damage Waivers in Acquisition Agreements,” which was originally published in
The Business Lawyer (an ABA publication.)
The award will officially be presented at the June 15, 2009 Burton Awards dinner in Washington, DC. This is the sixth consecutive year that Weil Gotshal attorneys have received the Legal Writing Award.
Marking its tenth anniversary this year, the Burton Awards program recognizes major achievements in the law ranging from literary awards to the greatest reform in law. The awards committee includes professors from premier US law schools as well as prominent active judges.
