Weil, Gotshal & Manges partner Stephen A. Radin has been selected to
receive a 2005 Burton Award for Legal Achievement. The awards are given
to lawyers and law-school students who exhibit excellence in legal writing.
Mr. Radin, a member of Weil Gotshal's Litigation/Regulatory department,
focuses on corporate governance, business and securities law litigation,
and counseling clients regarding shareholder class action and derivative
litigation, business judgment rule, interested director and controlling
shareholder issues, federal securities law disclosure requirements, transactions
involving corporate control, proxy contests, internal corporate investigations,
and indemnification and insurance of corporate officials.
Stephen J. Dannhauser, Chairman of Weil Gotshal, praised Mr. Radin, saying,
"With over 50 articles to his credit Steve is one of our more established
authors, and we all congratulate him on achieving this high honor."
Now in their sixth year, the Burton Awards will be presented on June 6,
2005, at the Library of Congress in Washington DC. They are awarded by
a panel of leading educators, lawyers and members of the judiciary from
around the country.
