Miranda Schiller is a partner in Weil’s Securities Litigation practice group, where she focuses on representing domestic and foreign issuers, and their directors, in shareholder class and derivative actions and other complex litigation, including bondholder actions. She also counsels clients involved in a wide variety of securities transactions. Among her many notable representations, Ms. Schiller was lead trial and appellate counsel in Lillis v. AT&T (Delaware), challenging the cancellation of stock options in the AT&T-Cingular merger. Ms. Schiller has been named as one of the top securities litigators in New York City by the New York Super Lawyers publication in every year since 2005.
Prior to joining Weil, Ms. Schiller served as law clerk to The Honorable Lynn N. Hughes of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Ms. Schiller is a member of the Board of Directors of CancerCare and the Ping Chong Theater Company. She has been on the firm’s pro bono committee since 1996 and, over the last 20 years, has represented numerous clients in pro bono matters.
Ms. Schiller is a member of the New York State Bar and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Second and Eleventh Circuits, and the Southern District of New York. She received her B.A. from Barnard College and her J.D. from Emory University.
