Marisa A. Sotomayor is a corporate associate in the Banking & Finance practice group in the firm's New York office. Ms. Sotomayor represents major financial institutions and commercial borrowers in a variety of domestic and multi-jurisdictional cross-border leveraged and acquisition financings, refinancings and restructurings. Specifically, she is involved in the negotiation and drafting of acquisition and leveraged financing documentation. Ms. Sotomayor has also represented aircraft operating lessors, airlines and commercial lenders in cross-border financing and leasing transactions, involving export credit agencies and corporate entities. Prior to joining Weil, Ms. Sotomayor was a banking & finance associate in the New York office of another leading international law firm.
In 2007, Ms. Sotomayor graduated from the Fordham University School of Law, where she was an Associate Editor of the Moot Court Board, and a member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal. She received a Masters degree in public administration in 2004, and an undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in 2003 from the State University of New York at Albany, where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
