Manesh Shah is an associate in the Business, Finance & Restructuring Department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges' Dallas office. He has practiced in the areas of business reorganization and insolvency since joining Weil in September 2007.
Mr. Shah has been involved representing both creditors and debtors in chapter 11 proceedings. Mr. Shah has also served as a volunteer prosecutor at the City of Houston Municipal Courts, where he obtained first-chair trial experience in Class C misdemeanor cases.
Mr. Shah received his BA in Philosophy and Economics from Austin College in 2001. He received his JD from the University of Richmond School of Law, cum laude, in 2006, where he was the editor-in-chief of the Richmond Journal of Global Law & Business.
After law school, Mr. Shah served as a law clerk to The Honorable Robert G. Mayer of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Mr. Shah is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
