Madelene trained and qualified as a solicitor in the corporate department of the London office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges in 2002. Between 2002 and 2010 Madelene specialised in private equity and UK and international M&A work, advising, as part of a team, a number of private equity houses, including Apax, Bridgepoint and GMT Communications Partners, and also corporates, including GE and ALL3MEDIA on a range of acquisitions and disposals. In 2010, Madelene became a Professional Support Lawyer in the corporate department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
Madelene was named as one of the UK's "Hot 100" lawyers by The Lawyer magazine for 2009.
