Lisa Cloutier is an associate in the Boston office and a member of the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation group. Lisa’s practice includes complex civil litigation, white collar criminal investigations and defense, and regulatory investigations. Lisa’s work encompasses all phases of pre-trial, trial, and post-trial work, including litigation strategy development, formulation and analysis of claims, filing of dispositive motions, management of complex discovery and electronic discovery issues, preparation of expert witnesses, trials, and state and federal appeals.
Lisa is active in pro bono service and her work in this area includes drafting a successful habeas corpus brief for a death row inmate in a case before the US District Court, Middle District of Florida, resulting in a decision vacating the death sentence on Eleventh Amendment grounds. Also, Lisa has represented domestic violence victims in civil proceedings, and a student in school disciplinary proceedings.
Prior to joining Weil, Lisa served as a judicial clerk for one year for the Honorable Lawrence E. Kahn, US District Judge, Northern District of New York.
Lisa graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University in 2002 and received her JD from Harvard Law School, where she served as Managing Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Gender, in 2007.
