Leigh C. Tinmouth is an associate in the firm’s Employment Litigation practice group. He has worked on a wide range of matters, including ERISA litigations and wage/hour litigations, and has assisted with due diligence on corporate transactions, for clients such as American International Group (AIG), Lehman Brothers, Macquarie Capital (USA), and GECC.
Mr. Tinmouth has worked as part of the team defending AIG and certain current and former officers and directors in an ERISA class action related to investments made in AIG’s 401k plan during the financial crisis. He is also participating in the defense of O’Brien’s Response Management, L.L.C. in a wage and hour collective action alleging violations of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, including claims of alleged employment misclassification, lack of overtime compensation, and unpaid wages and benefits brought by workers involved in the clean-up efforts following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill of April 2010.
Prior to joining Weil, Mr. Tinmouth worked as a fellow in the Office of the Governor’s Legal Counsel for the Governor of Massachusetts.
Mr. Tinmouth received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Boston College, and his law degree, cum laude, from Boston College Law School, where he was a member and articles editor of the Boston College Law Review.
