Kenneth Heitner is a co-head of the firm's global Tax practice. His practice covers the full range of tax issues affecting corporations transacting their business in the US and abroad, including advising on tax-efficient structures for cross-border transactions.
Mr. Heitner has been consistently recognized as a top-tier tax lawyer by Chambers USA, Chambers Global, The Legal 500 US, Best Lawyers in America, and The Best of the Best USA. He has also been recognized by Who’s Who Legal: The International Who’s Who of Corporate Tax 2012.
Mr. Heitner is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Tax Section; American Bar Association, Tax Section; and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He formerly was the chairman of committees on reorganizations, corporations, practice and procedure and net operating losses of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section. Mr. Heitner is the past President of the Tax Club. He has authored articles for The Tax Lawyer and the Journal of Partnership Taxation. Mr. Heitner is general counsel and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Central Park Conservancy. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the New York University School of Law.
