Kenneth Heitner is co-chair of the firm's Global Tax practice. He has been a partner with the firm since 1981.
Mr. Heitner has been recognized as a top-tier tax lawyer by Chambers USA and Chambers Global. He has also been recognized by Legal 500 US 2008 and 2009 in the field of tax, and named one of America's "Top 25 Pre-Eminent Tax Lawyers" by The Best of the Best USA 2010.
Mr. Heitner is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Tax Section; American Bar Association, Tax Section and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He formerly was the chairman of committees on reorganizations, corporations, practice and procedure and net operating losses of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section. Mr. Heitner is the past President of the Tax Club. He has authored articles for The Tax Lawyer and the Journal of Partnership Taxation. Mr. Heitner is general counsel and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Central Park Conservancy. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the New York University School of Law.
