Karel Drevinek joined Weil in 1995 and has been a Corporate partner in the firm's Prague office since 2004.

Mr. Drevinek concentrates on mergers & acquisitions, corporate law, finance transactions, insolvency, and general commercial law.

Mr. Drevinek serves as the Chairman of the Appellate Senate of the Czech National Bank and lectures on banking law at Charles University School of Law. He has been listed in Chambers Global and Chambers Europe, IFLR 1000, Legal 500 and PLC Which Lawyer?, as among the top Corporate/M&A, Banking and Finance, and Restructuring and Insolvency lawyers in the Czech Republic for several years.

Mr. Drevinek received his law degree, summa cum laude, from Charles University in Prague in 1995, and his LL.M. from Columbia University, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, in 1996.

Mr. Drevinek is fluent in Czech, English and Russian, and has a good knowledge of German and French.
