John Maselli is a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practice groups in Weil’s Silicon Valley Office, where he participates in the representation of financial and strategic clients in various acquisition transactions, including public and private mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, venture capital investments, leveraged buy-outs and cross-border matters.
Mr. Maselli has participated in the representation of:
- Apple in its acquisition of AuthenTec, a publicly traded designer and manufacturer of fingerprint sensors
- Facebook in its acquisition of Parse, a cloud-based service provider for mobile app developers across multiple platforms
- the estate of Lehman Brothers in its buy-out of all equity interests held by Bank of America and Barclays in Archstone, a national apartment lessor, and subsequent sale of Archstone to Equity Residential and AvalonBay
- Summit Partners in its growth equity investment in Access Information Management, a national provider of management storage and destruction services
- Sequoia Capital in its investments in Weebly, a service provider for webpage construction, and Mellmo, a producer of business intelligence applications and other analytic data
- Synopsys in its acquisition of Ciranova, an electronic design automation company
- Maxim Integrated Products in its acquisition of Calvatec, a developer of analog and mixed-signal system-on-chip solutions based in Scotland
