Jill J. Schmidt is an associate in the Silicon Valley office. Ms. Schmidt specializes in patent litigation and has worked on matters involving a wide range of technologies. She has significant experience managing complex, multi-defendant, and multi-jurisdictional cases.
In addition to her work on patent litigation matters, Ms. Schmidt assists with pro bono representation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in church property disputes. She is also a member of the Federal Circuit Bar Association, a mentor for the Stanford Fulbright Mentor Program, and an avid supporter of the arts, particularly the San Francisco Ballet, SFMOMA, and the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.
Prior to joining Weil, Ms. Schmidt served as a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Alsup of the United District Court for the Northern District of California and the Honorable Paul R. Michel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
