Jessica Sheridan is an associate in the Corporate Department of Weil’s Dallas office. Ms. Sheridan’s practice focuses on complex corporate and transactional matters, including the representation of private equity firms and public companies in connection with public and private acquisitions, divestitures and investments, as well as professional sports transactions. Ms. Sheridan also counsels clients on general corporate governance matters and compliance with applicable securities regulations.
Ms. Sheridan has represented a wide range of clients in a variety of industries. She was a member of the teams that represented: ALFA, S.A.B. de C.V. in its strategic acquisition by Tenedoras Nemak S.A., a subsidiary of Alfa (one of Mexico’s leading industrial companies), to acquire J.L. French Automotive Castings, Inc; DLJ Merchant Banking Partners and its portfolio company, Total Safety U.S. in its sale of Total Safety to private equity firm Warburg Pincus; Bridgepoint, in its sale, under a scheme of arrangement including a management buyout, of a majority stake in UK-based environmental consultancy Environmental Resources Management to Charterhouse Capital Partners; General Electric Capital Corporation in its sale of GE Capital’s equipment rental services franchise dedicated to the transportation industry, with the largest trailer fleet in Mexico, to Linzor Capital Partners; General Electric Capital Corporation in its sale of GE Capital’s consumer mortgage business in Mexico to Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico; clients in sports related transactions involving member clubs of the National Hockey League and Major League Baseball; Crescent Resources, LLC in its pre-arranged plan of reorganization under chapter 11 of title 11 of the United States Code; SemGroup, in its restructuring under chapter 11 of title 11 of the United States Code; and Key Plastics L.L.C in its financial restructuring under chapter 11 of title 11 of the United States Code.
Prior to joining Weil, Ms. Sheridan externed for the Honorable Barbara J. Houser of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Texas. Ms. Sheridan is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Young Lawyers Association and serves on the Steering Committee for the Legal Hospice of Texas.
