Jennifer Cheng is an associate in Weil’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice. Ms. Cheng is involved in all aspects of representing public and private companies in connection with complex domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and divestitures.
Ms. Cheng’s recent experience includes:
- General Electric Company - Sale to Comcast Corporation of its remaining 49 percent common equity stake in joint venture media company NBCUniversal for $18.1 billion
- American Realty Capital Trust III, Inc. - Merger with American Realty Capital Properties Inc. for $2.2 billion
- Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation - Sale to Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. for $2.6 billion
- GE Capital Corp. - Sale of its real estate lending unit to Everbank for $2.5 billion
- Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc. - Sale of its equity stake in Neuberger Berman Group, LLC for approximately $1.5 billion
- C. R. Bard, Inc. - Acquisition of Lutonix, Inc. and Medivance, Inc.
- American Securities Capital Partners - Sale of MECS, Inc. to DuPont
- CA Technologies - Acquisition of Arcot Systems, Inc.

Ms. Cheng received her Finance degree and Law degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia. She practiced at King & Wood Mallesons (f/k/a Mallesons Stephen Jaques) before joining the firm in 2008.
